What is the best dog food for a great dane?

I have an intact female great dane and I think she needs some weight on her. She has really started to gain the muscle mass and become more defined, but too much of her spine is visible...in my opinion. People always tell us how she needs some "meat on her bones" but its not like we aren't aware. I have tried blue buffalo, nutro, and something else but she never seemed to gain anything with these. I realize that she has some growing to do and american danes aren't as stalky. The vet has given her a clean bill of health but she never recommends anything for our girl. She's over a year and a half and weighed 116 four-five months ago and I know she has gained more weight since, but she is such a butt when it comes to weighing her. I am embarrassed to say we haven't been feeding her quality food the past 3 months but now we are financially stable and have more leeway in our expenses. What food would you recommend? I know that raw meats and whole foods would be ideal, but I am looking for a quality kibble at this time.
